Quick answer
Train Power until you can clear the nearest zone, steal one egg, outrun the guardian to get home, then hatch it. That animal earns Cash passively forever, including while you are offline.
Most new players overtrain and then lose their first egg on the return trip. Train enough to reach a zone, not enough to feel ready.
What the game asks you to do
(🌀) Drill for Eggs is built around one repeating loop. You raise Power, use that Power to drill into a zone, take an egg that a guardian animal is protecting, carry it back to your base without being caught, and hatch it into an animal that generates Cash for you. Every system in the game feeds into one of those steps.
The controls are simple. Move is W A S D, Jump is Space, Train Power is Left Mouse Button, Interact is E.
Train Power
Power is the stat that decides everything, including which zones you can reach. You raise it two ways: tapping the left mouse button manually, or standing in the auto-training area near your base.
Manual training is faster per minute but needs constant tapping. The auto-training area is slower but hands-free, which makes it better when you have drilled enough to open the next zone and want to step away. Free upgrades appear on the green button beside that area over time, so check it while you wait.
Stop training the moment you can clear a new zone. Power beyond that threshold produces no Cash, and every point of it is discarded when you eventually rebirth.
Take your first egg
Each zone holds several eggs and is watched by a guardian. Drill through the rock until the zone opens, walk to an egg, and claim it. Press E to interact.
The moment you take it, the guardian starts chasing you. This is where new players lose their progress: they drill further than they can carry. One egg from a close zone that you reliably bring home beats three attempts at a distant one.
While you are learning, take the nearest eggs. You are not optimising yet, you are learning the route.
Escape and hatch
Speed decides whether you keep the egg, and you raise it by stepping on the green buttons near your base. If the guardian reaches you, you lose the egg and start that loop again from drilling.
Once you are home, place the egg in your enclosure. Gestation runs from a few seconds for common eggs to several minutes for rare ones. Interact with the egg when it finishes and your base gains an animal that produces Cash, added directly to your account.
That animal keeps earning while you are offline. It is the reason the first hatch matters more than the second drill upgrade.
What to do next
- Keep the animal you just hatched. Do not sell it while you are learning the loop.
- Upgrade Speed before you push to a harder zone, because it protects everything you already own.
- Buy a drill at the Drill Shop once you can afford one. Drills raise your Power rate permanently.
- Collect Index rewards. A red exclamation mark on the Index button means one is waiting, and Index rewards scale with rarity and zone.
- Read the escape guide before attempting a far zone, then use the loop planner to check whether the numbers actually work.
Common mistakes
- Overtraining. Power past a zone requirement produces nothing today and is wiped on rebirth.
- Ignoring Speed. Losing eggs on the return trip costs far more Cash than a stronger drill earns.
- Reaching for the farthest egg. A rare egg you cannot bring home is worth exactly nothing.
- Selling early animals. They keep paying offline, and their Index rewards are one-time value you lose once.
- Believing code lists. This game has no codes. See the codes page for why those lists exist.

Beginner questions
How do I get Power fast at the start?
Click the left mouse button to train manually. It is faster than the auto-training area per minute, but the auto-training area is hands-free, so use it when you need to step away.
What should my first goal be?
One completed cycle: clear a zone, take an egg, get home, hatch it. An animal in your base pays you from then on, including offline, so the first hatch is worth more than extra training.
Should I buy a drill early?
Once you can afford one, yes. Drills increase the rate at which you gain Power, so a drill is a permanent speed-up rather than a one-off Cash gain.
Do I need to keep playing to earn?
No. Animals earn Cash while you are offline, which the official game description confirms. Your animals keep paying between sessions.
When should I use the rebirth calculator?
Once you have a repeatable income and a rough idea of your Power rate. The calculator needs four numbers from your save, and the more accurate they are, the more useful the answer.
